"Becamex Tokyu Hikari Complex" is a restaurant complex for 15 brands that is under construction in the center of Binh Duong New City beside the existing Hikari food court as its expansion.

Hikari Complex’s concept, "Made to Enlighten" is to show an example of the meaningful environmental approach from the new city center and leads the city to the next level of a green smart city. The main challenges are composting for food waste, aquaponics, and edible garden. With a green abundant landscape, Hikari Complex will become an educational space with entertainment.

An edutainment space for "Made to Enlighten"

The original word, “Hikari”, in Japanese is the combination of two meanings: ‘Lighting’ & ‘Hope’. To lead the appropriate lifestyle of the new city, this restaurant complex, where many people gather, will be the best place for introducing sustainable approaches and ideas.

Edutainment, which is an entertainment space with an educational approach, is combined with the restaurant complex concept. The landscape with abundant greenery and a central pond is designed for the center of learning with several approaches.

Landscape design for discovery the idea of sustainability with comfort

Hikari Complex is a center for open engagement rather than private consumption. It is a new space for the community where visitors of all kinds – restaurant customers and the public – experience a contemporary better lifestyle in the making. Its main structure with a large covering roof and landscape integrates a complex of 15 tenants, event spaces, an observation deck, a kid playground, a public fountain, a huge lake, and a beautiful leveraged landscape mixed with an edible garden.

When entering the Complex from the main entrance, guests are greeted by a large green gate where hanging plants are dancing by the wind and sunlight. After the entrance, the open outdoor water plaza with an event stage offers an irresistible attraction for children by water splashing and mist clouds.

The stream and water fountain create water sound and movement together with creating a microclimate factor. With an aquaponic fishpond, the cascade promotes the lake in an interesting way. By walking around the lake, the visitors will see the potential of water harvesting.

This Becamex Tokyu Hikari Complex will bring a brighter lifestyle in the new city with the concept and challenges for ”Made to Enlighten”.
